Neighbourhood Wine are Northward Bound

Neighbourhood Wine look set to take over from Wines Direct in Arnott’s basement soon.

While they have yet to officially confirm the location it is clear from their Instagram post that they are headed for the Northside department store.

The much-adored wineshop chain have expanded hard and fast to much success since they opened their pandemic wine shot in the old Lesson Lounge in Dublin 4. In the years since its opening, it has become a bustling hub of the contemporary wine scene.

Headed up by Master of Wine Mick O’Connell and La Mission Wines & Spirits owner Shane Murphy, the new spot takes their number of locations to four. Specialising in natural wine and small producers, they bring knowledgeable joy to their work. As well as some slick low-fi beats and whimsical wine posters.

The duo brings an emphasis on fostering talent in the wine community. Each of their shops stocks all wines made by contemporary Irish winemakers, including Killian Horan and Rosin Curley.

You can find Neighbourhood Wine on 72 York Road in Dun Laoghaire, Bray, and Leeson Street.
