February is absolutely flying in, and if you’ve totally dropped the ball and forgotten to make a reservation this Saturday for your sweetie pie – fear not. We got you fam. Just never, ever, ever, do that again, capiche?
There are so many places to dine in Dublin, surely some tables are still available, right? We’ve scoured the net and created this curated list for your sexy dining needs. Ok, they may not be your first choice, smack bang in the middle of town, or the time slot you were looking for, but you, dear reader, have made your bed, and we’re simply giving you a hand to get the fuck up out of it.
Here is a list of restaurants that have tables currently available on Saturday the 14th at the time of publishing. It’s slim pickings folks, so get on it ASAP.
Eleven in Loughlinstown might look like a rest stop on Google Maps, but is actually a decent restaurant right on the N11. Nestled above Whelehans Wines, Eleven is the same folks behind 777, Amy Austin, and Suertudo, so you know you’re in for a good time. Their vibe is romantic, the service is spot on, and they have cocktails for days.
On the night, they’re running a Lovers Menu, with Carlingford oysters as an optional add-on (the OG aphrodisiac). It features their legendary tuna tostadas for starters, and for mains they have 10oz ribeye / 6oz fillet steak, as well as fish and veggie options. Three courses are €85, which includes a glass of champagne. Ok, it’s a bit of a trek for those not native to Loughlinstown, but you should have thought about that when you forgot to book somewhere. They currently have tables around 17:00 and again at 21:00 – go go go!

Only a short bus ride from town, the Washerwoman is a charming neighbourhood joint in the leafy suburb of Glasnevin – right across the road from the 70s bomb shelter Met Éireann building. They’re part of the Woollen Mills-Winding Stair-Legal Eagle dynasty meaning their food is pretty dece. This Saturday they are running a Valentine’s menu with two courses for €45, and three for €49, which features their classics like buffalo wings, chicken and beef burgers, and the option to upgrade to a striploin steak for an extra €12. They currently have tables around 18:00 and 20:00. Vamos folks.

Hotels often get overlooked as actual places to dine when you’re not a guest there, and The Eddison at the Dylan Hotel is one of our top picks. Their menu is French leaning, with pistachio-crusted foie gras and an heirloom tomato galette on their starters list, along with options like beurre blanc halibut and fillet steak on their mains. The fact that they’re running their regular à la carte menu too means you’re also not being swizzed on a set menu. Surprise your bae with a room here after if you’re still feeling guilty. It’s the least you can do. There’s a handful of tables left currently at 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00.

Another Baggot Street Upper spot that has tables this Valentine’s Day is Bobby’s Wine Bar. They have nailed the concept of mood lighting, have a decent selection of wines by the glass, and are running what they’re calling a sexy three course dinner that includes a glass of fizz on arrival for €49. At the moment, they have tables at the 17:00 and 21:00 mark.

If you’ve effed up and forgotten to book a table, the actual concept of Afternoon Tea on Valentine’s Day may very well save your arse and make it look like you’ve had the whole day planned all along. Be sure to make a day out of it. Start here for a dainty lunch, go for a rake of pints after, and end the night with a chipper. I don’t know about you, but that sounds romantic as hell to me, and oh so thought out. The Westbury has two Afternoon Tea spots left at 16:45 and 17:00 – go tapaidh!
