For their 25th Anniversary edition,The International Literature Festival Dublin has a expanded to include a Food Village in their new home at Merrion Square. In addition, today they announced the full lineup of food trucks curated us lovely folk at CHAR.

The Food Village was curated by our very own Craig Connolly and Shamim de Brún . It will run in tandem with the festival as a whole and District’s Noontide events. Food available will include coffee, pastry, cannoli, chips, Asian fusion, ice cream sandwiches, burgers, tacos, and all sorts. Something for every taste.

You will find food trucks such as Griolladh, Gingers BBQ, Burger Cartel, Cold Boi, Ciao Cannoli, Woodfired Pizza Company and El Milagro. Though the Food Village is part of the festival, it is open to all, both ticket holders and the public. The space in Merrion Square will be open from 11:00 every day from 19 to 29 May.

ILFD 2022 features international authors from as far afield as Nigeria, Angola, Japan, Rwanda, Tanzania and Colombia meeting their counterparts from Ireland in a global gathering in Merrion Square Park.

District Magazine’s Noontide lunchtime sessions feature an eclectic mix of chats, music, and more. They include an acoustic performance from Tomike, a Sour Grapes Natty Wine Panel Discussion, Chef Selection, and more to be announced.

Talking to CHAR about the festival, Craig, Director of District Magazine, said: “We are excited to be hosting the inaugural food village as part of ILFDs move into Merrion square park. Over the last two years, we’ve all seen a massive surge in quality mobile food vendors in Ireland; and we’re delighted to be able to host some of our favourites for the duration of the festival. We’re also delighted to say that the Village is open to the general public. We cannot wait to welcome the thousands of people that live and work in the area.”
