All right, Charmanders, this has been another week of moves and shakes.

Ireland has officially conquered Britain, or at least by way of beer. Guinness was named the most popular beer in the UK.

Guinness for Brigid

To honour the Celtic Goddess turned Saint herself, Guinness is giving free entry to the Brigids, Bríds, McBrides, Gilbrides and any variation or derivative of the name Brigid from February 1 to 6. Visitors will be asked to produce valid photo IDs to prove there is a bit of Brigid in them. *insert flashback to trying to get a free pizza at The Blue Bus*

Free Coffee

It’s Cloud Pickers‘ 10th anniversary tomorrow. Visit their cafe or roastery on February 1 to join in on the celebrations; coffee drinks are free! They also have a 24-hour online offer of twenty-five per cent off coffee orders with the code DOUBLEDIGITS used at checkout. Lastly, they’re running a celebratory competition on their socials with ten winners. The giveaway prizes include a ‘Roast Your Own’ experience for two, a years supply of Cloud Picker coffee and high-end coffee paraphernalia.

New Opener (sort of)

AA Carribian has found a new semi-permanent home in Bow Lane on Aungier Street. They have been between venues since the unceremonious shuttering of Chestnut Bazaar. AA’s Caribbean started during the lockdown in January 2021. What started as a sketchy window pop-up in The Liberties snowballed into the most popular Caribbean food spot in Dublin. Since then, it has bopped around the city from home to home, bringing its cult following with it.
