New Speciality Coffee Shop Has opened in Dublin 8

Mrs Reids opened this week next door to Assassination Custard on Kevin Street Lower in Dublin 8.

According to their Instagram bio, they purport to be a “neighbourhood cafe” where customers can eat, drink, shop and chat over breakfast, coffee, lunch, or treats every day.

They will be serving Badger & Dodo Coffee. Established in 2008 and rebuilt in 2013, Badger & Dodo are known for their consistently tasty coffee. The team has a focus on

All of their single origins are Arabica and Speciality, scoring 85+, and they only buy current crop coffee. In 2018 they went to Brazil and Colombia to meet farmers and began shipping coffee straight into Cork – no longer via England or further afield. This means more for the farmer and the Irish economy and fresher and better coffee.

Dublin 8 is a coffee mecca with more than thirteen artisanal; coffee shops, all brewing distinctly delicious coffee. These include Fumbally, Sorrell and Son, Two Pups and The Morning. Mrs Reids takes its own special place among them this week.

They are currently looking for a new chef to take charge of the kitchen.
