You can get coffee and pastry for 99c all week

Morning Glory coffee shop is slinging coffee and pastry for 99c all this week in George’s Dock. The offer extends to all coffees and pastries from a caramel macchiato to a classic filter and even iced coffee.

Coffee shop Morning Glory has opened in the new permanent Hot Chix venue on Georges Dock. The spot was previously home to an independent coffee shop that shut down during the pandemic. The opening deal also includes tea and runs all day till the end of the week.

Hot Chix set up shop in 2017 and has been creating coveted buttermilk chicken goujons and burgers. Initially a pop-up, the team toured Dublin and Ireland before opening their new permanent venue earlier this year.

According to their website, the seeds of Hot Chix began when the lease in Ruby’s Point Sq restricted the sale of Beef Burgers. After consuming one too many glugs of Buckfast the night before Kenny, the chef decided that a few buttermilk tenders would be the solution.

The website reads that the fryers went on, the chicken breast was sliced, dipped, coated and dropped; Kenny uttered the words, “Anyone want buttermilk tenders, lads?” and according to the HOTCHIX team, the rest is history.

You can find HOTCHIX in Swords and George’s Dock. For more information on their delivery areas, visit their website.
