Whiskey Live 2024 Will Be The Biggest Year Yet

Whiskey Live (aka Ireland’s Whiskey Festival) is back, baby. This time around, there’s something for everyone… even if whiskey isn’t your poison.

There’s only one day a year when the new arrivals and established greats on the Irish Whiskey scene gather under one roof. This year, that day is fast approaching, and the roof in question is the RDS; perhaps one of the only places in Dublin big enough for the 110 whiskey and spirit exhibitors from Ireland (and as far afield as Japan) in one venue.

As Ireland’s premier whiskey festival, this event pulls seasoned whiskey connoisseurs and new fans alike, and they don’t skimp on the samples. With that precious ticket in hand, you’re free to sample anything and everything… so we’d recommend starting with the top shelf and finessing those half-samples, (no matter what your nickname was in school, no: you cannot drink 110 full measures of whiskey, so go slow).

Despite the seemingly give-away-name, whiskey isn’t the only thing on the menu this year. The free samples from the stands include anything from cocktails, gins, mezcals and much more. Whiskey Live also knows that with great drinks, there should come great pairings. That’s why many of the stands are offering bite-sized accompaniments, and food trucks will be serving up some of Dublin’s best if you get peckish… or didn’t follow our earlier advice.

You haven’t done Whiskey Live correctly if you haven’t booked a masterclass. A master class is an experience most of us don’t get often. They’re usually from the industry greats for the industry heads – but once a year, a window is briefly opened to let us see where the magic happens, so book ahead before all the best ones go.

There are a few tickets left (and they’ll go soon). Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Please drink responsibly.
