Burger joints seem to be popping up all over the city at the minute, so when we saw the latest Californian inspired spot, we made it our civic duty to check it out. LA LA Burger is the brainchild of Ivan, a certified burger aficionado.
After spending time in L.A. soaking up burger culture, and with plenty of kitchen inspiration from his brother Greg (whose CV includes Chapter One and Mugaritz in San Sebastian), Ivan brought those influences back to Kimmage.
When it comes to burgers, good ingredients make all the difference, and LA LA Burger caught our attention when we got wind of all the really great Irish produce Ivan uses. Think 100% grass-fed Irish Hereford beef that’s minced fresh every day, hand-cut North Dublin potatoes that are double-cooked into crispy fries, and pillowy Coughlan’s brioche buns.

There’s plenty of attention to detail too. Ivan makes everything from scratch where he can, from the burger sauce, down to the house-made chocolate fudge in the sundaes.

Seating is limited the restaurant, but lucky for you they’re on Just Eat so you can try Kimmage’s hottest burger joint in the comfort of your gaff.
