The First Irish-Filipino Restaurant is Launching in Dublin Today

It’s official: Alex and Richie of Bahay – one of Ireland’s most beloved food hustles – have finally secured a permanent home. After years of pop-ups, supper clubs, events, and even dropping a cookbook, their relentless grind is paying off with a bold new chapter.

Kaldero which is owned by The Eclective Hospitality Group will reopen tomorrow with Richie and Alex taking full charge of its culinary vision and creative concept. In other words, it’s now proudly Ireland’s first ever Irish-Filipino restaurant.

Chef Richie is no stranger to Kaldero. He was part of its original development team, but this time, alongside Alex, he’s running the show completely. Together they’ll keep doing what they do best: celebrating the bold flavours and vibrant culture of the Philippines in every dish.

On the menu, you can expect Filipino signatures made with the best of Irish ingredients. The dishes are designed to be shared, just as Filipino families eat – together, with generosity, connection, and total satisfaction.

There’s also a full line-up of cocktails inspired by Filipino flavours like calamansi, pandan, chilli, mango, and more.

The Restaurant is formally open for business today, Wednesday July 2nd.
