The Big Grill Festival has Announced Full Line Up for 2022

The Big Grill today announced their lineup of chefs, cooks, restaurants and guests coming to Herbert Park, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 from Thursday 11 to  Sunday 14 of August.

The barbecue takes centre stage but this year there’s a new drinks tent Brewcamp, additional bookable Offside dining experiences and long-table feasting. 2022 sees the return of the wildly popular, crowd-pleaser Chilli Eating Challenge.

Bastecamp demo stage features pitmaster and food writer Dee Laffan. Bastecamp is described as ‘the smoking hub of the festival’ which brings barbecue experts and novices together for in-depth butchery, barbecue and smoking workshops.

The tasty lineup of restaurants across the festival includes Mangal 2, Lignum, Liath, Mister S, Hang Dai, Chimac, Dash Burger, Symplicity, Bites by Kwanghi, Bahay, AA’s Caribbean, Baste BBQ, Pizza from Reggie White, Reyna, El Milagro, B-Skewers, Los Chicanos and Dublin Pizza Company.

The Irish talent featured includes Nico Reynolds, Aishling Moore from Goldie in Cork, Kwanghi Chan, Paul Flynn, Fingal Ferguson, Damien Grey, Jordan Bailey, Majken Bech, Birgitta Curtin, Danny Africano, Cumali Aydin from Reyna,  Marcus O’Laoire, Kevin Burke, Ellie Kisyombe, Karl Whelan, Reggie White, Lily Ramirez, Jess Murphy, Rick Higgins and Gaz Smith.

International highlights for the 2022 lineup include woodsman and outdoor expert Ray Mears, founder of Hardcore Carnivore BBQ, meat nerd and internet sensation Jess Pryles, Sertaç Dirik from London’s Turkish grill institution Mangal 2, Genevieve Taylor, one of UK’s leading live fire and BBQ experts.

The Big Grill is well known for its dedication to showcasing Irish drinks. This ear there will be twenty Irish craft breweries along with Neighbourhood Wines, Irish distilleries, cocktail bars and for the first time a drinks stage.

Brewcamp stage will host talks, demos’ masterclasses, cocktail making, live podcasts and tastings with brewers and experts. The inaugural Big Grill Cocktail Competition will take place on the Sunday evening session, bringing together Ireland’s best mixologists.
