Dublin’s most anticipated food festival, Taste of Dublin, is back from June 15 to 18.

For those eager to explore the diverse flavours on offer, all participating restaurants at Taste of Dublin will feature 2-3 Signature dishes priced at €6. They will also have an Icon dish priced between €8 and €12. With such a wide range of options, attendees are guaranteed to find delectable treats to satisfy their cravings.

The Lay of the Land

Over the weekend, the picturesque Iveagh Gardens will be transformed into a culinary wonderland. The festival draws over 30,000 food enthusiasts from every corner of the country annually. With a captivating lineup of renowned chefs, top restaurants, artisan food innovators, and a host of cultural experiences, this year’s event is set to celebrate and spotlight the recent explosion of Irish food innovation.

Among the festival’s highlights is the brand-new Miele Masterclass Kitchen. Here a stellar cast of Irish and international culinary masters will take centre stage. Rachel Allen, Paul Flynn, Gina Daly, Nico De Rey, Trisha Lewis, Jordan Bailey, and MC Erica Drum are just a few of the talented chefs who will share their food inspiration and top tips.

Taste of Dublin 2023 offers something for everyone. The Food for Thought Stage, hosted by MC Sharon Noonan, will play host to a range of workshops and talks from industry insiders. Don’t miss ‘How to Make & Create with Uber Eats’, a series of demos and tastings where you’ll learn from stalwarts of the Dublin food scene including John Ennis of Lucky Tortoise and Rebecca Feely of Kale+Coco. From mouth-watering dishes to tantalizing summer cocktails, the festival aims to cater to diverse tastes. Attendees can indulge in chocolate making. They can also participate in expert-led masterclasses and even dance the night away at the disco-inspired food events.

The Line Up

This year, Taste of Dublin welcomes an array of new and exciting restaurants making their debut at the festival. Nan Chinese, the owners of Hakkahan, will showcase their expertise in Chinese cuisine. Joining them are Orwell Road, Shouk, and Bar Italia, all eager to impress festival-goers with their culinary creations. Additionally, a lineup of Taste Favorites will be returning, including Pickle, The Salt Project, Bites by Kwanghi, Los Chicanos, and more. Meaning attendees can revisit their beloved culinary experiences from previous years.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival is Nan’s showcase of the Zibo Chinese BBQ. A cooking technique that has taken China by storm. The innovative and mouth-watering dishes prepared using this method have garnered attention worldwide. The New York Times featured it in their article, “Inside the Barbecue City That Is China’s Hottest Tourist Destination.”
