Beyoncé-approved Coppinger Row’s owners, Marc and Conor Bereen, have opened a new wine bar, Row Wines.
Food and Wine Ireland report that it will be a 40-seat space is aimed at younger customers and features dark, sleek décor, a gold bar, a planter with greenery and a selection of seating, including small tables and chairs and a large table from Coppinger Row.
Row Wines will have a curated playlist. It has been equipped with a bespoke sound system that will feature DJ Billy Scurry on occasion. There are also plans for a terrace.
A kitchen was built from scratch, and the tiny space is geared up and ready for service. It’s built to specification for the newly installed kitchen team, which will be led by Patrick Maher. Patrick is 23 and this is his first head chef gig. Patrick previously worked within the Press Up empire before working with Dan in Mister S on Camden Street. Then he joined the team at Orwell Road. At just 23 this is his first such role.
While continuing as head chef at Orwell Road, Dan Hannigan has levelled up to an executive chef role across the group. He is overseeing the food offering at Charlotte Quay and now Row Wines.
The initial menu is made up of popular wine bar snacks. These include olives, smoked nuts and gilda pintxo.
