Your lunch will be sorted with the café’s unbelievable range of sandwiches
Oxmantown are now offering a click-and-collect service from their Mary’s Abbey and Smithfield stores.
The cosy café has been a staple of the old Fruit and Veg Market area, just off Capel Street, since its establishment in 2013 by Conor Higgins and Amie Costello. They’ve since been serving a range of delicious sandwiches, salads and soups.
The café’s sandwich menu ranges from the classic, unbeatable ham and cheese toasty to more adventurous creations like ‘The Ruby’, which comes with Kanturk pastrami, sauerkraut, pickles and horseradish aioli.
The menu changes regularly with a brand new specialty sandwich created daily. If you have a sweet tooth, Oxmantown also serve a range of freshly baked goods including croissants, brownies and mouth-watering Portuguese pastel de natas.
Head over to Oxmantown’s social media accounts where they share their daily specials on Twitter and Instagram everyday. Today’s special is a slow roasted lamb shoulder on a sourdough ciabatta with chopped salad, mint yoghurt and harissa aioli. Well I know what I’m having for my lunch today.
Oxmantown pride themselves in serving locally sourced ingredients including their roasted coffee, supplied by Cloud Picker. Cloud Picker was Dublin’s first micro-roastery, they supply a range of coffee bean varieties from around the world.
All of Oxmantown’s unbeatable sandwiches are made on bread baked by award winning Firehouse Bakery. The Wicklow-based bakery provide the café with freshly baked sourdough, ciabatta, brioche and bloomers.
Oxmantown opened a second location in Smithfield in 2018. You can order click and collect from either store by giving them a call or heading over to their website.
