Nissan Created a Self-Driving Ramen Delivery Car

Words: Shamim de Brún

Inspired by their own fully-fledged engineered cars Nissan has spent money developing a ramen delivery car that won’t spill your soup.

The result is a mini Nissan dubbed the “e-4ORCE Ramen Counter,” that self-drives ramen without any spillage. The new high tech tray features a flat wooden platform on top of a long, white body sitting on four bulbous wheels. The restaurant level Scalextric zoom around countertops to bring customers ramen as quickly as possible once the chef is done preparing it.

The purpose-built car features not one but two separate motors for both the front and rear axles to give the car an “all-wheel drive“. This ensures control over acceleration and deceleration with “exceptional precision”, meaning none of the soup will flow over the edges.

No word yet on how much it will cost the average ramen house to replace staff with these specially engineered ramen couriers.
