Neighbourhood Wine Pledge 10 per cent of Black Friday Sales to Environmental Conservation

This Black Friday, Neighbourhood Wine is giving back to the Earth, with ten per cent of all proceeds going to Friends of the Earth Ireland.

Synonymous with seasonal consumerism, Black Friday is a no-brainer for shoppers and proprietors alike: more bargains equals more sales. But in the current economic and environmental climate, many people are reconsidering their purchasing choices.

It’s much more difficult for those with small businesses to make such choices, as many in the city face ever-rising costs to keep their doors open. This is why the decision by Shane Murphy and Mick O’Connell, the heads behind Neighbourhood Wine, to donate proceeds to an environmental effort is all the more poignant.

Neighbourhood Wine first opened its Upper Leeson Street spot in November 2020, and has since gone from strength to strength.

Friends of the Earth is one of the world’s largest grassroots environmental networks, with a collective aim for a zero-pollution world for all. A Not For Profit organisation, they are volunteer-governed and encourage environmental and social change through community-based mobility and action.

By shopping in places like Neighbourhood, Wine young are supporting a quality local business and the environment at the same time. This is for one day only, so hit that link there to grab a buidéal of vino and do your bit for the Earth.
