Masa Announces Second Location

In an announcement on Instagram this week the team confirmed the imminent arrival of MASA 2.0. The specifics around the new restaurant’s opening date and location remain under lock and key but either way excitement is rife.

Commenters on the initial post are guessing where it will land with people praying for Dublin 8, and Temple Bar.

Masa is fast-casual restaurant from the people behind Bunsen. Tom Gleeson and his cousin Finn brought in their other cousin Shane when they opened Masa in 2018. Shane (Finn’s younger brother), spent time working in London at Thomasina Mier’s Wahaca and Breddo’s. He also spent time travelling and eating extensively in Mexico.

Nestled on Drury Street it is recognized for its walk-in-only approach in a city of tight reservations. MASA has secured a well-deserved reputation for its exceptional tacos, with standouts such as the fried chicken thigh combined with peanuts and salsa, a combination hailed as nothing short of sensational. The restaurant caters to a range of dietary preferences, offering options like soyrizo and cauliflower creations for vegans.

The margarita selection at MASA is equally impressive, featuring four tantalizing variations, including the classic, frozen, jalapeno and coriander-infused, and the Tommy’s, which boasts Reposado Tequila, agave, and lime juice.

Keep an eye out on socials for further details on MASA 2.0.
