Markets are reopening in Dublin city parks from this weekend

By Emily Mullen

Just in time for the sun to be splitting the stones

Dublin City Council have announced that the city’s favourite park markets will be reopening this weekend.

From tomorrow Saturday, April 24, the Red Stables Market in St. Anne’s Park and Terenure’s Bushy Park Market will be open. From Sunday, April 25, Dublin 4’s Herbert Park Market will be opening in Ballsbridge, finally, the Lunchtime Market will be reopening in Merrion Square from Thursday, April 29.

Dublin City Council wrote that they were “delighted” to share the “good news” of the markets reopening around the city.

This news comes as Met Éireann has forecasted highs of 20 degrees on Saturday and sunshine on Sunday.

This reopening comes months after the markets were suspended by Dublin City Council on January 12th this year “due to concerns about the current Covid-19 situation”.
