Margadh, the much-loved wine and café spot on Harbour Road in Howth, will be closing its doors at the end of the week. Since opening almost three years ago, the establishment has become a beloved part of the local community and a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts.

In a social media post, Margadh shared the reason behind their decision to close the current premises. The team has realized that the space is not suitable for the specific needs of the café and wine bar, and are currently exploring options for a more suitable location. Margadh hopes to share updates on this soon, and assures fans that all hope is not lost for the future of the establishment in Howth.

The team behind Margadh is no stranger to the hospitality industry, with members continuing to work at Mamó on Harbour Road and Margadh RHA at Ely Place. While this is a sad moment for fans of Margadh in Howth, the team is looking forward to the future and the possibility of a new location.

For those looking to bid farewell to Margadh’s current location, the wine bar and café will continue to serve from 15:00 until late on Wednesday through to Saturday this week. So why not stop by for one last glass of wine and some delicious nibbles?

Margadh’s initial opening in Howth in 2020 was during an extremely difficult time for the hospitality industry, making the establishment’s popularity and impact all the more impressive. We at Bon Appetit wish the team behind Margadh all the best in their future endeavours and look forward to seeing what’s next for this beloved wine and café spot.
