Mamó end their Supper Club and take a ‘much needed break’

“The time has come for our small team to pause and reset”

One of a large number of Michelin plated restaurants to offer meal kits to customers, was Howth’s Mamó. Less than five months after opening the team was thrown into a pandemic. Forced to pivot their business, which they did flawlessly, mere days after Government restrictions were launched in March 2020, the team were offering a dinner collection service through their hatch on The Harbour Road. This concept has evolved into their highly successful Supper Club and has bagged the restaurant a 2021 Michelin plate in the process.

The team who has operated the restaurant for the majority of their existence through lockdowns of one flavour or another have announced that they are taking a break and are ending their Supper Club. The last of the 4 course kit was dished out on Saturday, April 10.

“With a hopeful eye on reopening outdoor dining in the not too distant future, we have decided to take a much needed break at Mamó,” the post on Mamó’s Instagram account reads.

“After over a year of working through pandemic restrictions, the time has come for our small team to pause and reset,”

“We will return refreshed and with the enthusiasm, you deserve for our next chapter,”

“We are excited for the evolution of our restaurant once we reopen, and to see what the future holds,” the spokesperson added.
