Landmark Dublin 6 pub Slattery’s sold for €3m

The iconic pub on 217 Rathmines Road, is widely acknowledged as one of the city’s foremost traditional pubs.
Slattery’s pub in Dublin 6’s Rathmines, has changed hands following a multimillion off-market sale. The landmark pub was sold by Roddy Slattery whose family have traded on the premises for the past two generations.
The pub has been acquired by Tim and Wendy O’Connor who own and operate O’Connor’s pub and guest house on Mount Street, Dublin 2, reported The Irish Times.
The off-market transaction was brokered by John Ryan of commercial real estate advisors, Bagnall Doyle MacMahon. It is understood that the property on 217 Rathmines Road, sold for almost €3m, following a series of competitive bidding by several parties.
The sale includes a two-storey over-basement building of 343sq m consisting of the ground-floor bar with a mahogany interior and snug areas.
Slattery’s was widely acknowledged as one of the city’s foremost traditional pubs, which played host to traditional sessions.
