Just Coffee is selling “the cheapest coffee in Ireland”

The Just Coffee owner says he is selling the cheapest coffee in Ireland from his Glasnevin stall.
Paul Stenson, owner of The White Moose Cafe and Charleville Lodge, has announced the opening of a new coffee stall- with all drinks priced at two euro.
Just Coffee is charging just two euro for all drinks, from Americanos to Macchiatos, from a food stall outside The White Moose Cafe in Glasnevin.
“In a time when costs have gone mental, we have gone even more mental with our prices,” The White Moose Cafe tweeted, “When everything else is going up in price, we are going down.”
“The price the customer must pay is not only the two euro but the lack of availability of anything else. Is this a big deal though? I don’t think so. Our reports would suggest that when folk buy coffee, most of the time it’s just that. Just coffee.”
This news comes as the cost of getting caffeinated continues to rise. A recent Eurostat report found that the price of coffee has increased by 17 per cent, making it almost a luxury purchase. According to the Central Statistics Office, Irish prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by around 9 per cent in August from a year earlier.
Many businesses are forced to increase their prices as a result of this inflation, which has led to many closures. Several restaurants and cafés have closed across Dublin in recent weeks, including the 3 decades old Monk’s Green Cafe in Phibsboro.
When some coffee shops are charging 5.50 for a cup, it almost sounds impossible that a stall can charge two euro for all coffees. This is one that will have to be seen to be believed.
