Just Chubbys are back in action

Just Chubbys, home of the most coveted tacos of 2022 are back in action in Dublin 3 after an extended winter hiatus. Thank the deity of your choice because, for a while there, it looked like they might not make it through.

Just Chubbys is located outside Lotts and Co at 46 Clontarf Road and is a sell-out establishment. People who were fortunate enough to catch them in their brief tenure last year pretty unanimously agreed it was the best thing they had eaten that year.

Those of us who missed it last year will finally get the chance to taste the mythic tacos from the team behind Deli 147. Deli 147 was a game-changer in sandwiches. Or, as they say on the deli 147 team, “the sammich” game. The healthy-sized sambos have been legendry around town.

After years of trialling recipes, including “fried chicken that would get a dead man up in the night for a bite”, they’ve landed on four simple taco options. That said, it looks like long-term Just Chubby’s will be a burger, wings, tacos, and fries place.

This week the tacos include charred honey and Chipotle chicken and jalapeno poppers if their Instagram is to be believed.

Their Instagram bio alludes to a more permanent location coming in the offing. So keep an eye on their Instagram for more information.
