Juno is hosting 50 First Skates’ second Christmas Market on December 10 and donating the proceeds to Unicef.

Juno is a vibrant bar, restaurant, and event space located in the former home of The Red Parrot in Dublin 1. The Dorset Steet spot is known for its quality outdoor seating and eclectic interior decor and has become a popular spot since its inception. The venue, open from Wednesday to Sunday starting at 16:00, offers a mix of “old man pub” charm with a modern twist, showcasing the creative touch of its founders from Happy’s Bar & Street Food and Bedlam Events.

This year’s market promises an even greater experience, featuring a flash tattoo artist and an expanded swap shop. They are still taking vendor applications if you fancy setting up shop there.

The primary focus of this festive gathering is not only to spread holiday cheer but also to contribute to the UNICEF Gaza Crisis Appeal. With the recent escalation of violence in Gaza leaving devastating consequences, Juno aims to raise substantial funds through a raffle held during the event.

The current crisis in Gaza has taken an alarming toll, with thousands of children losing their lives or being injured. Homes, schools, and hospitals have been destroyed, leaving over 1.4 million people displaced, and basic necessities such as food, water, and medicine in short supply.

UNICEF, at the forefront of humanitarian response, launched a global emergency fundraising appeal to provide essential support to the children affected in Gaza. Despite the challenging security situation, UNICEF staff is on the ground, working tirelessly with partners to save and protect children’s lives.

Fifty First Skates Christmas Market, aligning with this urgent cause, provides an opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy the festivities, and contribute to alleviating the suffering of those caught in the crossfire.
