Irish coffee chain Insomnia has launched a range of milkshakes.

The new menu includes versions of classic flavours, like the Insomnia Coke Float with McDaid’s Irish Cola, Rock Shandy Milkshake, along with scrumptious new crowd-pleasers including Insomnia Ice cream Sundaes with Nutella or Kinder Bueno and the Insomnia Affogato.

Irish owned coffee chain Insomnia has branched out into ‘retro’ milkshakes for the summer which will be served in mason jars and are retailing from four seventy-five. Insomnia has partnered with Dairyglen Ice-Cream which is an Irish family run business based in Bray to supply the real Irish dairy premium ice cream which is locally sourced. Insomnia will continue to launch new flavours and ice cream products over the coming months.

Insomnia is Ireland’s leading ‘independent coffee shop chain’. It has grown from a single location in a Galway bookstore in 1997 to over a hundred and seventy stores in Ireland, UK, & UAE. The chain also has high street partnerships with retailers such as SPAR, EUROSPAR, MACE, Londis, Primark,  Eason and Meadows & Byrne.

Speaking on the launch, Harry O Kelly, CEO said: We are celebrating 25 years in business this year and we are delighted to mark this occasion by launching our brand new ice-cream range – inspired by the flavours we all love. Our aim is to always give our customers an amazing level of choice when they come in-store. We’re excited for everyone to try the new menu and discover their favourite flavour this summer.”

The coffee company currently employs five hundred people throughout Ireland directly in its company-owned stores. Insomnia is committed to supporting local Irish suppliers, including Dairyglen,
Broderick’s Bakery, Around Noon Sandwiches & Sweet Things Bakery, Galway-based Solaris Herbal Tea
and Keogh’s Crisps.
