‘From despair to prosperity’ Dash Burger announce a second location

Hungry mouths rejoice

Moving from the jaws of “despair” to the soft hug of “prosperity” Barry Wallace announced that he would be opening a second Dash burger.

The second location will be on Capel’s street and is listed online as being at 159 Capel Street which is where Niall Sabongi’s Klaw Poké once was.

Due to open in September Wallace said that the doors would be swinging open “very soon”.

Announcing the news over Instagram (in their signature all caps) Wallace wrote: “ANOTHER ROLL OF THE DICE AND MY LAST AS AN ENTREPRENEUR. AFTER THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CLOSE @pangdublin DASH WAS CREATED IN THE EARLY DAYS OF THE PANDEMIC AND AS A DESIGNER @joannebyrne.hello DELIVERED AN AMAZING BRAND.”

“AFTER THAT IT WAS UP TO ME TO MAKE THE BURGERS AS GOOD AS I COULD. SUPER HAPPY TO HAVE CREATED OUR OWN BLEND AND TO BE THE FIRST ULTRA SMASH JOINT IN IRELAND.”

The burger joint run by Wallace was launched in Autumn last year, has had a phenomenal few months of service (despite the lockdown).

Inspired by an Oklahoma smashed onion burger originally created by George Motz. Thanking Motz, Wallace wrote, “HIS WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE IS HELPING PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD AND WE CAN’T THANK HIM ENOUGH”.

Wallace told us back in October 2020, “well I knew people would love smash burgers, I just didn’t know there would be a frenzy” he added, “I’m very lucky.”

Dash Burger on Kevin Street is open Wednesday through Sunday until 10 pm or until they sell out, follow them on Instagram for updates.
