Dublin City Council’s new sustainable food programme “Eat The Streets”; their 10-day festival from 11 to 20 June, is looking for applicants
‘Eat the Streets!’ is a project by Michelle Darmody for both Dublin City Council and Creative Ireland that looks at food, climate change and eating local in Dublin. With the return of in-person celebration season this year they are looking for food professionals and hobbyists of all kinds to apply to take part in this year’s festival.
The festival intends to honour Dublin’s rich and growing food history by engaging with all aspects of the Dublin food scene. If you have an idea or want to know more contact Dublin City Council here.
Applications opened earlier this week and will be accepted through to May. Last year’s festival included highlights such as A Dublin Woman of the Late Seventeenth Century and Her Recipes, Eat the Viking Streets , and The Magic of Geodesic Domes.
Dublin City Councilor Sabrina Dekker will be curating this year’s festival. Growers, farmers, experts and food enthusiasts keen to share their knowledge are invited to apply. Last year’s festival included a series of After Dinner Chats that explored Dublin’s past, present and future relationship with food.
