Dunnes Stores Stocking Meme Drink ‘Prime Hydration’

The Irish supermarket is selling Prime Hydration drinks in Dublin for just under three euros ‘while stocks last’.

In January of this year, The Irish Examiner reported that fans of Prime Hydration were paying upwards of eighteen euros for the drinks.

PRIME is a range of drinks made by Congo Brands, fronted by an English rapper and social media sensation KSI and the US Youtuber Logan Paul. Collectively they’ve got 27 million TikTok followers and almost 40 million on YouTube. The TikTok videos with the #primehydration hashtag have been viewed over 591 million times. That’s more views than there are people in Ireland and the UK a few times over.

The drinks come in Hydration and Energy bottle varieties, as well as Hydration+ Sticks, with a range of flavours including Ice Pop, Blue Raspberry, Meta Moon, and Tropical Punch. Lemon Lime, Grape and Orange.

Dunnes Stores announced the stock drop on Instagram. They said: “Attention all Prime Hydration fans. We have a once-off limited offer on your favourite drink happening in selected stores this Thursday, the 20th of April.”

People have been going buck wild for it since, with many buying whole slabs of the drink in much the same manner as the Lidl Protein Yoghurts. Many influencers found themselves without the drink over the weekend as they didn’t manage to get in early enough. Since the first day, customers have been advised that there is now a quota of a maximum of two bottles per person.

The Prime Hydration flavours included in the Dunnes promotion are the Blue Raspberry, Ice Pop, and Tropical Punch. There are more in stock today, and the shelves are being stocked first thing.
