The city’s most beloved food truck isn’t going anywhere
Dosa Dosa have announced that they now have a permanent home in Grand Canal Street Lower, where their food truck has been installed for several months. Their new premises which the team refer to as “Dosa Dosa 2.0” is a modified container. The site which is in a disused carpark beside Becky Morgan’s, now has outdoor seating for customers.
The team also announced an extension to their opening hours, extending from their weekend opening hours to Wednesday till Sunday from 12pm – 8pm.
Speaking of the move transition the team wrote “we are going to miss our truck but, who says no to better and faster service”.
Speaking to owner and chef Karthik Thiru back in May, he talked through his plans for the future of Dosa Dosa, “we are planning to do two containers and one food truck. We’ve already bought the two containers, one is almost finished and that’s going to be installed during the summer.”
“This food truck will hopefully be going to a market, and the second container will hopefully be finished by the end of the Summer. Then next year when everyone has gone back to work and normal life resumes, we will hopefully be doing the Boojum style concept,” Thiru added.
