Dillinger’s reopens in Ranelagh on Monday
After take a two month-long break, the Dublin 6 restaurant Dillinger’s is returning on Monday.
Dublin 6 restaurant Dillinger’s is returning to its Ranelagh location following a break of over two months.
The American-inspired restaurant announced at the beginning of August that they would be closed for the month to give Dillinger’s “a new lease of life” and to give staff “a little well earned break.” When the restaurant did not reopen in September, some feared a permanent closure. But the restaurant is now back on Instagram to remind customers that they are “All Ways Welcome.”
According to Dillinger’s, they are “brand spanking new” and taking reservations from Tuesday, November 1.
The restaurant is known for its neighbourhood hospitality and finely curated interior. Dillinger’s was opened in 2009 by John Farrell and Leo Molloy, with the American diner-style of the restaurant curated by Farrell at the heart of the concept.
Farrell also owns and has designed The Butcher Grill in Ranelagh, 777 on George’s Street, and Super Miss Sue and Luna on Drury Street. As someone with a long-held interest in carpentry and design, Farrell is known for creating restaurants with a memorable look that people want to come back to.
The announcement of Dillinger’s reopening comes along with several closure announcements across Dublin, including the Vegan Sandwich Co, Box Burger Bray, and Table Wine this month. With the closure of several beloved locations, it’s good to hear there are still restaurants out there to support.
