Words: Hannah Lemass
I’m a little worried that I may be single-handedly responsible for the Xi’an Spice Bag making it into the global top ten. Maybe I need to cut back… or double down so it gets to Number 1 next year.
Deliveroo has revealed the top trending dishes of 2024. Every year, the Deliveroo crew gives us a glimpse into our own tastes and habits by sharing the top 100 most popular dishes on the app.
The number one trending item globally for 2024 was the wildly viral pistachio chocolate bar, the “Can’t Get Knafeh of It” from Fix Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai. Two Irish restaurants did us proud, making it into the global top 20: our beloved Xi’an Spice Bag landed at number 7, while the Chicken Gyros Wrap from Yeeros nabbed the 17th spot.
I’d very happily eat my way through the entire list. In fact I’m already about halfway through.
