Culture Night Dublin announces their 2022 program

Now in its seventeenth iteration, Dublin Culture Night has released a programme featuring over 300 events taking place across Friday 23 September.
On the third Friday of every September, Culture Night / Oíche Cultúir takes place with hundreds of live events across the country. For one night each year Ireland becomes a cultural playground, with a series of special one-off events, pop-ups and live shows to celebrate the richness and diversity of the arts across the Emerald Isle.
For the Dublin edition, this year’s program is set to feature over 300 events across areas like music, theater, design, history, art and everything in-between. With the slogan ‘One Night For All’ attendees can expect a night of colourful events encapsulating the breadth of culture in Dublin city.
What might they be, you may ask! How about planting a tree with Patagonia for their ArtisTREE replanting program, take a guided tour of historic queer spaces in Dublin or enjoy a talk from visual artist Maser at his studio Atelier Now. With hundreds of events on offer, there’s truly something for everyone.
Dublin City Arts Officer Ray Yeates has announced that this year attendees will be able to avail of free transport across Dublin on the night and welcomed this year’s commissioned artists Acid Granny, Fionnhuala Halpin and Tadgh as part of the Awaken the Metropolis showcase programme.
“Dublin’s streets will be electrified by a programme of outdoor events, animating the city’s public spaces with the spirit of culture.”
Attendees will also be able to view prospective events using a specifically designed map of the city breaking down events by their location across Dublin.
