Connected Hubs introduces remote working voucher scheme

Words: Ellen Kenny

The plan aims to provide 10,000 remote working days for free.

People can access three days of free “hot desk” working between now and the end of August through Connected Hubs.

Hot desking is when workers share the same office and use a different desk each day. The average cost of a seat in a local hub is between 15 and 20 euro per day.

Connected Hubs has several Dublin locations including Mountjoy, North Dock, O’Connell Street, Camden Street, Terenure, and Blanchardstown.

The scheme will run over two phases. Phase one begins now until August 31, while phase two will start in September. To be eligible for free working spaces in phase one, you must be registered with Connected Hubs.

The scheme was introduced by the Government in light of census results showing increased populations in rural areas. The goal of the scheme is to allow those living in rural areas to easily work no matter their occupation or location.
