Bakestone Café & Pantry Launch New Coffee Blend and Celebrate 10 Years

Bakestone Café & Pantry is turning ten this week, and they’re celebrating with food, glorious food.

Founded by two Cork natives, Joe and Maura Carey, back in 2013 in Carrigtwohill, Bakestone is all about using locally-sourced ingredients to create delicious meals that’ll make you want to lick your plate clean.

Their brunch game is strong, with all the classics like Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale and Eggs Florentine, and they even offer posh Buttermilk Pancakes with Poached Pear, Salted Caramel and Vanilla Mascarpone for the fancy folk. If you’re more of a traditionalist, they’ve got you covered with French Toast, Maple Syrup and Bacon. And if you’re feeling rough after a big night out, the Bakestone Full Breakfast with locally sourced produce is just what the doctor ordered.

But that’s not all – their lunch menu changes daily depending on what’s fresh and in season, and they make everything in-house, from quiches to salads to sourdough breads, relishes, and pickles. In 2018, they opened up a retail element to their business called The Pantry, which sells all sorts of local artisan products and baked goods, highlighting over 150 Irish producers.

To mark their ten-year anniversary, Bakestone is teaming up with Badger & Dodo to launch a new exclusive coffee blend called Common Grounds. This delicious blend is made up of washed Peruvian and natural Ethiopian beans that boast flavours of vanilla, milk chocolate, and orange. And if you can’t make it to their cafes in Carrigtwohill, you can order it online.

Joe Carey, the owner of Bakestone, is thrilled to be celebrating ten years of serving up tasty meals and supporting local producers. To celebrate, they’re hosting a series of events, including a “Meet The Markers” event in the fall. Stay up to date with all the latest news by following them on social media. Congrats on a decade of deliciousness, Bakestone
