Asian ‘hybrid food’ spot opens in Dublin 2 today

Words: Emily Mullen

An opening of a Tuesday

A brand new Asian “hybrid food” spot has opened up in Dublin 2’s Parliament Street on May 25. The Sumaki team serve up some mainstay dishes alongside a build-your-own element, making it a great shout for fussy eaters.

Their Signature Sumaki menu serves things like wasabi salmon, sesame tofu and miso shrimp in either a sushi burrito or poke bowl.

There’s also the Make Your Own Sumaki menu, where you can pick and choose ingredients to put in a sushi burrito, poke bowl or salad bowl.

The Sumaki kitchen are also serving up snacks in the form of karaage chicken, dumplings and edamame.

The team at Sumaki ran a soft opening on May 21, which received some pretty rave reviews from people who sampled their menu. The team received some “honest feedback” and made some “small tweaks to keep improving” ahead of their opening on May 25.

Sumaki has been a couple of months in the making and is the brainchild of Rei Ling, who runs a lifestyle, food, fashion and beauty Instagram account.

You can find Sumaki at 36 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, where they are open from 11.30am-10.00pm daily. Follow them on Instagram for more information.
