Allta has launched Summer House with a summer menu

Allta Summer House’s new menu will feature a new selection of plates – snacks, small plates, sharing dishes and sweets – by chefs Niall Davidson, Hugh Higgins and their team.

The menu will focus on local and seasonal ingredients for the summer. Dishes include St Tola goat’s curd with charcoal roasted peas and buckwheat, native lobster in young fennel with gooseberry beurre blanc and sea buckthorn koshu.

Allta and Glovebox are located on level 5 of Trinity car park in the centre of Dublin. Enter Trinity car park from Dame Lane and take the lift to the fifth floor to get there. “Carpark” makes it sound like it would be cold, but Glovebox is a fully covered and heated indoor venue. Glovebox is the bar area tailor-made for pre or post-dinner drinks.

Allta is also hosting a series of wine tastings this summer. Ian Fitzpatrick, their sommelier, will kick off the series on Wednesday 8 June at 19:00. Ian is an incredibly knowledgable somm with years of experience in both classic and contemporary wines which he will impart alongside snacks from their menu. These will be strictly limited ticketed events starting at sixty-five euros.

Allta was originally a Dublin wine bar on Frederick Street. Last summer, they relocated to Slane Castle in Meath for a two-month sellout stint. The winter house in was thought to be a one-season space but has proved so popular it has been extended to become Allta Summer House.

You can check availability for the coming months for both Allta Summer House and Glovebox on their website.
