The Smithwick’s Síbín is Your Pint and Trad Oasis at All Together Now

The Smithwick’s Síbín is set to be a major highlight of the All Together Now weekend, with a specially curated line-up bringing the best of trad, musicians, storytellers, and artists to create a true cultural experience that goes far beyond typical festival moments.

All Together Now is fast approaching, and we are buzzing with excitement. Not only is there a solid line-up of artists for music lovers, but it’s a food and drink paradise too. Gone are the days when you had to rely on crumpled granola bars, deflated packets of crisps, or greasy chip vans. All Together Now has become a gastronomic spectacle, offering everything from sit-down banquets to gourmet food trucks. And when it comes to getting a pint, things have certainly stepped up a notch. With spaces like the Smithwick’s Sibín you can enjoy your drink in a more relaxed, refined setting. It’s a lovely option if you don’t fancy making a chaotic beer run, navigating discarded tents, puddles of muck, mosh pits, and tipsy festivalgoers. At the Smithwick’s Sibín you can just sit back and relax with a freshly poured pint and some great tunes.

Smithwick’s has created an oasis for music lovers and pint aficionados alike with the Smithwick’s Síbíns, two hidden woodland havens nestled among the trees of the Curraghmore Estate. It’s the perfect retreat when you’re craving a cultural breather. Each Síbín promises a magical blend of music, storytelling, and art, curated to be one of the true highlights of your All Together Now weekend.

Smithwick’s: The ideal Festival Pint

Smithwick’s is a national treasure. Brewed in Kilkenny for over 300 years, it is one of Ireland’s oldest and most beloved tipples, making it an ideal companion when we celebrate the talent of trad musicians keeping heritage alive through their art.

Besides its historic importance, it’s also a perfectly supple pint. It’s not too heavy, but it’s still full of smooth, robust flavour notes, making it a great drink to enjoy on its own or when paired with any of the endless delicious food offerings that will be on site over the weekend. It’s versatile for the weather too the bright, refreshing elements suit when the sun is shining, but the caramelised, roasted flavour is also an ideal match for when it inevitably lashes rain and you want to be toasty and cosy in the warmth of the Síbín.

It’s a solid drink for any occasion, but especially for a session filled with whistles, fiddles and drums i.e, the kind of jams you can expect all weekend long at the Síbíns.

What’s On?

There will be two intimate timber-frame Síbíns in the woods, filled with trad, craic, and an electric spirit.
Things kick off Thursday evening with a bang, as musicians from the Smithwick’s Sessions at Dublin’s Pipers Corner take the stage. Expect spontaneous trad jams echoing through the trees, setting the tone for the weekend that will be filled with more highlights.

Unmissable Highlights

Up She Flew – Friday, 16:30–17:15
This energetic five-piece trad group from the home of Smithwick’s, Kilkenny, brings an unyielding, foot-stomping electric energy to their gigs that is impossible to ignore.

Candlelit Tales
Friday (Music Session) 18:00 / Saturday (Storytelling) 15:00
This sibling duo fuses Irish mythology and music in a way that’s both mesmerising and meaningful. Their storytelling sessions are more than entertainment they’re a connection to Irish heritage, told with heart and rhythm.

Madra Salach
Saturday, 19:30–20:30
Anyone with an interest in trad will no doubt be familiar with Madra Salach, and you’ll be delighted to hear you can catch them perform at the Smithwick’s Síbín on Saturday at 19:30. They bring a real edge and modernity to trad, unafraid to experiment and carve out their own legacy in music.

Molly Donnery
Sunday, 15:00–15:30
Continuing the theme of bringing old-world tradition to the modern age, Molly Donnery will take to the stage on Sunday at 15:00 with her poetic and emotionally grounding folk styling.

More Than Music

But it’s not just about tunes and pints. These sessions are memory-making magic and you can even take a piece home with you. Illustrator Miles Reilly will be on-site throughout the weekend, sketching portraits of musicians and guests alike. His ink illustrations capture fleeting moments in timeless form, a perfect memento of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The real magic of the Smithwick’s Síbín is that fleeting nature. No session will ever be repeated. Each one is a one-off a moment suspended in time. Only those who are there will ever know what it felt like. It’s the perfect reason to pause, appreciate the present, and savour it all ideally with a crisp pint in hand as music fills the air.
