24: 5 best looking things to eat in Dublin this week

Things to eat in and around Dublin from January 24 until January 30.

The return of freedom to eat wherever and whenever comes the return of our divine looking something to eat. We have collected some of the most delectable foods being sold in Dublin right now and compiled them into an extensive ol’ list. Here are five things in Dublin this week that we like the look of:

05

MUD X ‘SUP at ‘SUP Cafe

This depraved loaded brownie with caramel and toasted marshmallow will hit that sweet-toothed spot. And will definitely take the sting out of going back to the office. The layer of marshmallow fluff frosting tops the rich textured bromine that ripples with caramel. This is the sweetest treat there is this week. The hearty sweetness is well balanced by a black coffee or a cold glass of whole milk.

04

Phoenix Cafe’s Coconut and Raspberry cake

With ribbons of raspberry and a soft, fluffy coconut flavour, this coconut and raspberry cake is perfect for morning or afternoon tea. With a crunchy streusel topping, all will love this buttery cake at first bite. It is the ideal treat for visiting Winston Churchill’s old home in the centre of Phoenix Park and guffawing at childhood pictures of him.

03

147 PNC at Deli 147

Deli 147 are known for their phenomenal sambos, and this week’s special is one. This debauched sarnie comprises roasted pork shoulder, pico de gallo, cheddar, avocado, pickled cabbage, salsa Roja, and cheese sauce. It looks like it would feed the famished and keep the gluttonous satisfied for a week.

02

Classy Coriander at Sole Seafood and Grill

This cocktail is a delicious blend of Blackwater gin, cachaca, homemade coriander syrup, rosemary water, lemon juice and egg white. It’s fresh, bright and tastes like spring is just around the corner. But, of course, it would go despicably well with some of Ireland’s finest oysters.

01

Black Pudding and Chorizo Salad at PÓG

The marriage of the food of two countries is always a beautiful thing. This salad is no exception. Colourful and texturally diverse, it looks made to mouth water. Together they toss Tournafulla black pudding, grilled chorizo, baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes, radish & rocket, and cider vinegar. Finished with a mustard dressing for a touch of pizazz. Truly delicious!
