In a global gesture of goodwill, Krispy Kreme will be handing out FREE Original Glazed Dozens across its Irish outlets, on November 13 for ‘World Kindness Day’ encouraging people to embrace the spirit of generosity and connection.

This giveaway is open to everyone who walks in and asks for the World Kindness Day offer at any participating Krispy Kreme shop in Ireland. With a whopping 7,000 Original Glazed doughnuts up for grabs nationwide.

Irish people disproportionately love Krispy Kream. When they first opened in Blach there were such queues that they had to curtail their 24/7 offering. The opening of the store was accompanied by a mania never seen before in Ireland. There was a queue of 300 people when it opened its doors at 07:00 on its first day of operation. Then the Traffic jams kicked in. According to locals, they resembled the Christmas rush hour.

Locals started posting videos of the debacle and it made national news, even some international news.

Dave Skena, the Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, highlighted the significance of World Kindness Day, stating, “World Kindness Day is an opportunity to make a positive difference by being generous – from paying it forward to meaningfully connecting with each other. Simple gestures of caring and thanks, including sharing a sweet treat, is a great way to do that.”

As we anticipate long queues and enthusiastic doughnut lovers flooding Krispy Kreme outlets, it’s worth noting the company’s impressive growth in Ireland. Despite facing challenges in the economic market, Krispy Kreme Ireland Ltd recorded a substantial increase in revenues, surpassing €10 million for the first time last year. With a clear growth agenda, the company is eyeing further expansion in 2023, planning to open shops in quality, high-profile locations and enhance its digital channels.
