Liath to-go will be no more

By Emily Mullen

“We are wrapping up #liathtogo for good.”

The Michelin star restaurant Liath are wrapping up their to-go offering. The much-lauded virtual cooking and dining experience first kicked off in early February, will be wrapped up for good.

“We discovered a whole new way of dining through home kit experiences and street food, it truly was a learning curve and memorable time,” the chef and Liath proprietor Damien Grey wrote on Twitter.

Looking forward to reopening the Blackrock-based restaurant, Grey continued, “thank you to everyone who joined and supported us. Stay safe and see you soon in Liath Restaurant”.

The restaurant appears to be pitching their opening towards the end of the summer, as they are currently advertising positions with a start date in August for a head chef, sous chef, pastry chef, commis chefs, and kitchen/stores assistant.

Liath retained their Michelin star for 2021 in a year which Grey admitted: “has tested us to the limit”.
