Camile Thai launch Thindi – a new Indian restaurant with four locations

The spin-off of Ireland’s healthiest takeaway opened last week in Shankill, Phibsborough, Clarehall and Sligo Town.

Thindi combines rich spices with slow-cooked quality sourced meats, fish and vegetables. Their award-winning menu celebrates the culinary diversity of India. With a host of perennial favourites from Punjabi Samosas to creamy Masalas. All made to order by a team of experienced Indian chefs whose culinary repertoire extends from Mumbai to Dublin.

This new addition to the Irish restaurant scene has recently opened its doors in Shankill under serial Camile franchisee Paul Abraham.

Sixty jobs have been created as a result of the new venture. Camile Food Group bigwigs say will “invite a new generation of foodies to turn their weekly routine into a ritual. With a fresh perspective on the authentic flavours of this indulgent subcontinent culture.”

Founded by Brody in Dublin in 2010, there are now forty-seven Camile Thai restaurants. There will be further locations planned over the coming months.

Since launching, Camile Thai Kitchen became the first takeaway food brand in Europe to deliver one hundred per cent compostable packaging. They are also trialling takeaway food delivered by drone. The chain was also first in Ireland to display the Carbon Footprint of each dish on its menus and website.

Commenting on the announcement, Thindi founder Brody Sweeney said: “The genesis of Thindi was to challenge the perception of Indian takeaway. Responding to the growing demands of customers for new experiences in-home dining, whatever their lifestyle choices. So we’re delighted to be celebrating the official launch of the brand and the opening of our fourth restaurant in Shankill. We really wanted to make this century-old cuisine accessible to the next generation.”
