Dublin City Council release plans to pedestrianise College Green

Words: Katie Gartland

Dublin City Council have submitted plans to An Bord Pleanála to pedestrianise a large area in the city centre.

The Council is looking at two options in the transformation of the city centre. The first option would allow 24 hour delivery access to College Green from Dame Street and the second option would only allow vehicle deliveries between 6am and 11am.

The pedestrianised area would stretch from George’s Street to Trinity College.

This plan was made in coalition with the new BusConnects routes, which would see less public buses running through the city centre.

Have a look at the plans here and fill out a survey on your opinion of the future of Dublin.
