We have collected some of the most delectable foods being sold in Dublin right now and compiled them into a big ol’ list. Here are five things in Dublin this week that we like the look of:
Neat Pizza’s Buffalo Chicken Dough Bites
Neat Pizza have succeeded in combining two of America’s top tier bar apps, dough bites and chicken wings. Using their signature dough, the team have shoved some buffalo sauced chicken inside and paired it with some sauce. The finished result is a comforting doughy pocket which holds a tangy satisfying centre. The team at Neat have said that this dish is “quickly becoming a NEAT favourite”. Gopan’s Taiyaki
Launched by Michiko Ishimoto in September 2020, the Japanese style bakery runs orders on a request basis. Gopan serves up authentic pastry creations and cakes, that are available via Instagram DMs throughout Dublin. A recent feature on the Instagram account is the taiyaki which Ishimoto explained is a fish-shaped waffle-like cake filled with either anko (sweet red bean paste) or vanilla cream. Soup 2’s Crab Claw Noodles
Soup 2 have knocked out some cracking specials for this week, including their crab claw noodles. Their house noodles are stir-fried Yu Xiang style- a seasoning mixture that is usually made up of water, vinegar, scallions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and pickled chilli peppers. Pizza Yard’s Risotto Bowl
The only thing better than risotto might just be risotto served in a bowl made of cheese. Pizza Yard out in Ranelagh have placed their salsiccia sausage and wild mushroom red wine risotto into a homemade parmesan bowl. Bakeology Treat’s Argentinian Alfie
Opened a couple of weeks ago on Dublin 8’s Meath Street, Bake specialises in Argentinian goods. They sell a couple of different flavours of alfies, but this particular one is made up of two melt-in-your-mouth cookies with dulce de leche sandwiched in between them. Dulce de leche is extremely important to the team, who have said that an “Argentinian bakery is not a real Argentinian bakery without dulce de leche!”.
