Blasta Books #6: Tapas by Anna Cabrera and Vanessa Murphy will retail at fifteen euros and will be published on 20 April 2023.

Authors Anna Cabrera and Vanessa Murphy of Tapas de Lola and, more recently, La Gordita fame met in 2008 and quickly realised that their love for all things food, wine, sangría and vermouth made them a perfect match.

Anna, a native of Barcelona, moved to Ireland in 2001, while Vanessa had lived in Spain on and off over the years. While there was already a Spanish offering in Ireland, they were missing so many dishes from home and their travels around Spain that the idea for their own Dublin restaurant, Las Tapas de Lola, was born.

The recipes Anna and Vanessa have shared in this book are written about how they love to prepare them. Each Blasta Books offering is a hardcover, 72-page A5 cookbook illustrated by Dublin artist Nicky Hooper. They are all standalone books, but as a quarterly series, they also provide a more inclusive snapshot of Ireland’s modern and diverse food culture, from tacos to tapas, spice bags to sushi. They are little books with big voices.

All the books are available to buy on blastabooks.com, either individually or as a series bundle, in good bookshops and in independent retailers around Ireland.
