#20: Top 5 best looking things to eat in Dublin this week

Words: Emily Mullen

Things to eat in and around Dublin from September 20 until September 26 everything from smoked brioche to pickled radishes.

We have collected some of the most delectable foods being sold in Dublin right now and compiled them into a big ol’ list. Here are five things in Dublin this week that we like the look of:

5.

As One’s Pickled Radish Salad

It’s unsurprising that As One have selected a seasonably-driven dish to add to their menu. Using a whole pile of organic gherkins, thinly sliced pickled radish, leaves from McNally Family Farm the team have created a simple dressing of natural yoghurt, natural yoghurt and olive oil. Sprinkling the whole thing with chilli flakes the dish looks the perfect Indian Summer accompaniment. You can find As One in the Dublin Docklands’ 13 – 18 City Quay, for more information visit their Instagram.

4.

Queenie’s Coffee and Walnut Cake

Forget about all your new fangled ingredients, and recipe combos, the classics are still around for a reason. Queenie’s out in Dunshaughlin recently served up one of the OG’s of the Irish cake scene, a coffee and walnut. The two sections of coffee cake, are slathered in buttercream icing and then topped nostalgia style with chunks of walnuts. You can find Queenie’s in Dunshaughlin’s The Gables Shopping Centre for more information visit their Instagram page.

3.

Vegan Sandwich Co.’s Chilli Cheeze Bites

No matter your intentions, sometimes all you require is large quantities of deep-fried cheese bites. Luckily Vegan Sandwich Co. know the drill and have created their own version with jalapeños mixed with their homemade cheeze rolled in a spicy panko coating and served with their garlic mayo dip. You can find Vegan Sandwich Co. in Dublin 7’s North King Street, for more information visit their Instagram.

2.

Wingman’s Chicken Mayo

Shortly after the success of their All Ireland Smash Burger- a burger that included ingredients from each of the four provinces- Wingman launch the Chicken Mayo Burger. Perhaps a nod to the All Ireland Final, which saw Mayo’s 0-15 defeat over Tyrone’s 2-14. The Chicken Mayo, is made up of buttermilk fried chicken fillet burger, iceberg lettuce and Wingman’s signature mayo. You can find Wingman in Kilbarrack’s Naomh Barróg GAA, for more information visit their Instagram.
