April is here, and so are the sexy-looking dishes. We’ve consolidated all the best-looking bits into one handy article for your care and attention. So if you’re looking to eat in Dublin this week, then this is the list for you.

Enjoy!

05

Yasai Tempura – Nomo

Get ready to fall in love with Nomo’s Yasai Tempura. It’s a veritable veggie lover’s dream! These Iill dippers are coated in a batter hat. The team legitimately took more than a month of constant fucking around to find out which one was the best. And it shows. So, whether you’re a die-hard friend vegetable enthusiast or just looking for a little app to keep you going while your ramen is being prepped the Yasai Tempura will not disappoint – especially if you go all in on a few dips.

Pickle Fried Chicken – Clanbrassil House

One of the snacks on Clanbrassil House’s weekday à la carte menu is fried chicken and spiced honey butter served with a little pickle. That fried chicken – it’s crispy, juicy, and oh-so-satisfying especially. And when you slather on that spiced honey butter, cure a homer simpson ‘hommona hommana’ sound. The little pickle’s the perfect palate cleanser, cutting through all that rich, indulgent flavour like a champ. Don’t even get me started on the presentation. This baby is stacked high like a tower of yumminess that’s just begging to be devoured this week.

03 Rhubarb

Fallon & Byrne

Pink rhubarb and yoghurt panna cotta w/ blood orange, poached rhubarb and jelly, confit zest and citrus shortbread. It’s like a little bite of heaven, with its light and airy pastry on top of tangy handmade rhubarb jam. And let’s talk about the aesthetics here. This baby is perfectly layered with that pink-red jam punctuated by the orange slices and with a sprig of pastry for a good pipping. The lil desserter is just begging to be devoured.

02 Wild Garlic Foccacia

No Messin

This is a pic of our Sourdough focaccia with @mcnallyfamilyfarm potatoes & wild garlic pesto

My carb-loving amigos this is a beautiful handmade focaccia with potatoes and wild garlic pesto from MacNally’s. It’s a warm, fluffy focaccia bread, baked to perfection and topped with a generous helping of crispy potatoes. And then, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, they go and slather on some wild garlic pesto that’s so good, you’ll want to bathe in it. It’s the perfect combination of carbs, herbs, and savoury goodness.

01 Kingfish crudo, kumquat and chervil.

Mamo

Mamo doesn’t fugg around. It delivers. Time and time again. I mean, have you seen this dish? It’s like a work of art that you can eat. The delicate pink slices of Kingfish are perfectly complemented by the tangy kumquat and the fresh, herbaceous flavour of chervil. And let’s not forget about the presentation – it’s like a masterpiece on a plate. So, if you want to up your food game and show off your fancy palate, go ahead and indulge in some Kingfish crudo, kumquat, and chervil.
