Irish MasterChef Judge Anna Haugh Has Popped Up in Dublin

Tallaght-born Anna Haugh owns and runs Myrtle restaurant in Chelsea, London. A restaurant that packs Michelin Star quality and punches well above its pedigree.

Anna began her career in our fair city, working in, now shuttered, L’Ecrivain with Derry Clarke. Anna then moved to London, where she worked with Shane Osborne in Pied a Terre, Philip Howard at The Square, and for the Gordon Ramsay Group.

In May 2019, she founded Myrtle Restaurant in Chelsea, London. The name Myrtle; was inspired by the Irish chef Myrtle Allen, who is the founder of Ballymaloe House. Anna will appear as the new judge on BBC’s Masterchef: The Professionals alongside Gregg Wallace and Marcus Wareing as a judge.

She’s returned home for this high-end hotel dining pop-up experience at The Conrad. The event has a major focus on native food heritage. Anna takes old Irish recipes and refines them. Dublin’s latest tasting menu is inspired and influenced by Dublin’s rich culture and local heritage. Each dish is designed to highlight various homegrown ingredients and elevated iterations of classic Irish dishes.

It’s open for Dinner since October 25, with tasting menus starting at ninety euros without wine. Including wine is an extra seventy-five euros a head. The pop-up also has an à la carte menu, with mains kicking off at thirty-five euros for the veggie options.

Anna Haugh said of the homecoming: “I left Dublin thinking French food was the cuisine I wanted to cook. I return to Ireland knowing that Irish cuisine is the food I want to cook. I am so proud that a little girl from Tallaght is collaborating with an iconic luxury hotel off St Stephens Green.”

Lunch service should start November 15, and bookings are open here.
