Summer’s winner, the Spicy Margarita, is back for good, joining two new original recipes, the Mezcal Margarita and Pineapple Margarita.
As Craft Cocktails marks two years in business, this is the first special collection to join their permanent range. It celebrates all things tequila with a fresh look. The bottles are the same price as the core range and serve the same quality and pour size.
The cocktails are hand mixed and bottled by award-winning bartenders in the brand’s purpose-built cocktail factory Cuckoo Lane in Dublin 7.
The Mezcal Margarita honours the Abuelo of tequila: the truly artisanal, original agave spirit; mezcal. Produced using old-time methods, mezcal is as Mexican as a mariachi band, eating tacos and wearing sombreros. A mix of smoky mezcal, agave tequila, agave, and lime. It’s perfect for anyone who likes their margs with a little more gusto.
The Pineapple Margarita is a fruity twist on the classic, using pineapple three ways. Barbecoa charred pineapple, pineapple liqueur and pineapple sugars are mixed with agave tequila, agave, and lime. It creates a margarita that tastes like it’s been sunning it up on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.
The Spicy Margarita has risen to fame over the past few years, even earning its own name, ‘Picante cocktail’. Built from a mix of three different chipotles sourced straight from Mexico for that authentic chilli kick, with agave tequila, chipotle, blood orange, hibiscus, and lime.
Dave Mulligan, the founder of Craft Cocktails, said, “Tequila is on fire right now. Our Tommy’s Margarita cocktail has always been our most popular flavour. When we launched a limited edition Spicy Marg for Day of the Dead last year, we had to make it permanent due to demand. This year we thought we’d go two better. Launching our Pineapple Margarita, Mezcal Margarita and a rebranded Spicy Margarita as a trio of cocktails to join our core range of flavours, with some fresh packaging updates to look out for!”
Craft Cocktails’ range of colourful ready to serve cocktails is now stocked in over forty independent retailers and venues nationwide, including Fallon & Byrne, Lotts & Co, Mitchel and Sons, Molloys, Blackrock Cellar, Neighbourhood Wine, Baggot Street Wines, and Decent Drinks Club, as well as direct from their website with nationwide delivery.
