Nobó’ has officially opened a flagship store called The Treathouse just off the Beechwood Luas Stop, a six-minute walk from Ranelagh village.
The Treathouse, based on 47 Dunville Avenue, launched at the beginning of the week. The venue has been a long-time goal of Nobó founders Rachel and Brian Nolan. The opening of The Treathouse kicks off their tenth anniversary of veganising the classics, mainly ice cream and chocolate.
The Nolans set up nobó in their kitchen in 2012. Their first product was a dairy-free ice cream made using avocado and coconut milk ingredients. They also produce dairy-free vegan chocolate that is sold in Ireland and Canada.
Everything sold at The Treathouse will be dairy-free, gluten-free, refined sugar-free and handmade daily using “wholesome, simple ingredients”. The shop also stocks ‘Pantry Items’ such as trail mixes, granola, cakes and bakes. The team make everything in small batches allowing them to keep their nutritious treats sustainable and delicious.
On their website Brian and Rachel describe The Treathouse as:
“The Treathouse will be a home for simpler, kinder, plant-based treats. At the centre of the space is our unique glass-enclosed chocolate lab – a creative space where our Master Chocolatier will be crafting handmade truffles from our creamy single-origin organic chocolate…as well as in house snacks such as Trail Mix, Nutty Granola, Brownies using only wholesome plant-based ingredients (we’re particularly excited about our chocolate chip cookies!).
We will also have Nobó Mylk Shakes, Ice-Cream Sandwiches Smoothies, and Cold Pressed Juices, Chocolate Truffle gift boxes, nut butters, Coffee from renowned Irish speciality roasters, Cloudpicker Coffee…and more! Everything will be plant-based, gluten-free and refined sugar-free!”
BiaVest, a food-focused investment firm, took a stake in Nobó in early 2021. Nobó will use the investment to help finance a drive into the European market.
The Treathouse opens Monday to Friday, 7 am to 6 pm, 8 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, and 9 am to 4 pm on Sundays.
